Welcome to Smart Security Systems ("Company", "we", "our", or "us"). By accessing our website, purchasing products, requesting quotations, or engaging our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.

1. Company Information

Smart Security Systems is a Cyprus-based security solutions provider offering:

• Intruder alarm systems

• CCTV and video surveillance systems

2. Definitions

Customer means any individual, company, organisation, or entity purchasing products or services from us.

Products means all equipment, hardware, software, accessories and related goods supplied by us.

Services means installation, monitoring, maintenance, consultation, repair, support and related security services.

Agreement means these Terms and Conditions together with any quotation, invoice, proposal, service agreement or maintenance contract.

3. Quotations

3.1 All quotations are valid for thirty (30) days unless otherwise stated.

3.2 Quotations are estimates based on information available at the time of preparation.

3.3 Site conditions discovered during installation may require adjustments to the quotation.

3.4 We reserve the right to withdraw or amend quotations before acceptance.

4. Orders and Acceptance

4.1 An order becomes binding only after written acceptance by Smart Security Systems.

4.2 We reserve the right to refuse any order at our discretion.

4.3 Custom-made, special-order, or non-stock items may not be cancelled after procurement has commenced.

4.4 Orders may be subject to product availability.

5. Pricing and Payment

5.1 All prices are stated in Euros (€).

5.2 Prices may include VAT where applicable. Any VAT treatment will be clearly indicated on quotations and invoices.

5.3 Payment terms shall be specified in the quotation or invoice.

5.4 Unless otherwise agreed:

• A deposit may be required before installation begins.

• Remaining balances are due immediately upon completion of installation.

5.5 Late payments may incur reasonable interest and recovery costs permitted under Cyprus law.

5.6 Ownership of goods remains with Smart Security Systems until full payment has been received.

6. Installation Services

6.1 Installation dates are estimates and may be affected by:

• Product availability

• Site readiness

• Weather conditions

• Force majeure events

• Third-party delays

6.2 Customers must provide safe and reasonable access to the installation premises.

6.3 Additional work requested outside the agreed scope may be charged separately.

6.4 Electrical, construction, internet or network work not included in the quotation will be charged separately unless expressly stated.

7. Customer Responsibilities

The customer agrees to:

• Provide accurate information.

• Maintain internet connectivity where required.

• Maintain electrical power to installed systems.

• Protect usernames, passwords and access credentials.

• Notify us of any changes affecting system operation.

Failure to do so may affect performance and warranty coverage.

8. Monitoring Services

Where monitoring services are provided:

8.1 Monitoring services operate subject to telecommunications, internet, mobile networks, electricity supply and third-party service availability.

8.2 We do not guarantee uninterrupted monitoring.

8.3 Alarm signals may be delayed or interrupted due to circumstances beyond our control.

8.4 Monitoring services are intended to reduce risk and do not guarantee prevention of theft, loss, damage, injury or criminal activity.

9. CCTV and Video Surveillance

9.1 Customers are solely responsible for ensuring lawful use of CCTV systems.

9.2 Customers must comply with:

• Cyprus data protection laws

• GDPR requirements

• Any guidance issued by the Cyprus Commissioner for Personal Data Protection

9.3 Customers are responsible for obtaining any required notices, permissions or consents.

9.4 Smart Security Systems is not responsible for unlawful recordings or misuse of surveillance equipment.

10. Warranty

10.1 New products supplied by us are covered by manufacturer warranties where applicable.

10.2 Installation workmanship is warranted for twelve (12) months unless otherwise stated.

10.3 Warranty does not cover:

• Misuse

• Accidental damage

• Power surges

• Floods

• Lightning

• Vandalism

• Third-party modifications

• Failure to follow operating instructions

10.4 Warranty claims must be reported promptly.

11. Returns and Consumer Rights

11.1 Consumer customers may have statutory rights under applicable Cyprus and European Union consumer protection legislation.

11.2 Returns of standard products may be accepted subject to inspection and applicable conditions.

11.3 The following items are generally non-returnable unless defective:

• Custom-configured systems

• Special-order products

• Installed equipment

• Software licences

• Opened sealed products where applicable

11.4 Any statutory consumer rights remain unaffected.

12. Service Contracts and Maintenance Agreements

12.1 Maintenance agreements renew according to the terms specified in the relevant agreement.

12.2 Either party may terminate a maintenance agreement by providing written notice as specified in the agreement.

12.3 Outstanding balances remain payable upon termination.

13. Limitation of Liability

13.1 Security systems reduce risk but do not eliminate it.

13.2 Smart Security Systems shall not be liable for:

• Theft

• Burglary

• Property damage

• Business interruption

• Loss of profits

• Loss of data

• Consequential or indirect losses

13.3 Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount paid by the customer for the specific product or service giving rise to the claim, except where prohibited by law.

13.4 Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded under applicable law.

14. Force Majeure

We shall not be liable for delays or failures caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including:

• Natural disasters

• Fire

• Flood

• Earthquake

• Government restrictions

• Telecommunications failures

• Internet outages

• Labour disputes

• Supply chain disruptions

15. Intellectual Property

All content on this website, including:

• Text

• Logos

• Images

• Graphics

• Software

• Designs

remains the property of Smart Security Systems or its licensors and may not be copied, reproduced or distributed without written permission.

16. Website Use

Users agree not to:

• Use the website unlawfully.

• Attempt unauthorised access.

• Introduce malicious software.

• Interfere with website functionality.

• Copy website content without permission.

We reserve the right to suspend access where misuse is detected.

20. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
